Profotech and Maxwell Technologies SA (Maxwell) gave a "live" presentation of their new joint product— combined optic-electronic current and voltage transformers (123 kV) at the 16th International Exhibition and Conference on Electric Power Equipment and Technology, EP China/Electrical China 2016, held in Beijing.
Specialists from Profotech participated in the largest electricity exhibition in the Middle East - Middle East Electricity (ÌÅÅ).
MEE was held on March 2-4, 2015 in UAE, Dubai. The main business scope of the exhibition includes: generation, transmission, distribution of electricity, nuclear power, water power technologies, alternative energy sources and renewable energy sources. More than 1200 international companies from 54 countries participated in the exhibition.
Specialists of “Profotech” attended “Generation, power grids and sale of electric energy: development path” XI Professional Energy Forum that was held on 10 of December in Moscow International multi-media “Russia Today” press-center.
Professional Energy Forum traditionally represents a discussion platform to address the issues related to the development of Russian fuel and energy complex.
More than 400 companies including companies from Germany, Canada, China, Italy and India demonstrated their developments and technical solutions at Electrical Networks of Russia-2014 Exhibition that was held in Moscow on 2-5 of December. The exhibition brought together the leading experts in the industry as well as the biggest manufacturers and suppliers of equipment and instruments for electrical grid complex, power supply networks, construction, installation and design enterprises.
On November, 2014 specialists of Profotech installed flexible electronic fiber-optical current transformers (FEFOCT) on JSC “Bratsk aluminium smelter” (BrAZ) to measure direct current in aluminium pot rooms, transfer and save data in a database of the smelter.
Profotech participated in the 1st International Power forum RuGrids-Electro that was held on October, 15-17 in Moscow Krasnaya Presnya Expocenter. This event is Russian largest power industry platform as for demonstration domestic and foreign innovative technologies and developments in power sector, as to discuss problems and long-term development strategies of power industry, to exchange experience and to establish interaction between participants and state authorities. The exhibition-forum was organized by JSC “Rosseti”.
“Open innovations” is the largest discussion platform that successfully gathered representatives of technological and innovative companies, investors, government agencies and regulatory bodies, science and education departments.
“Open Innovations” III Moscow International Forum was held on October 14-16 on the territory of Technopolis Moscow. More than 15000 participants from 70 countries visited the forum. 490 companies from 15 countries introduced their innovative developments. Business program of the forum included more than 160 activities: panel discussions, seminars, round table conferences.
As a part of energy efficiency improvement program, at the end of September, 2014 flexible electronic fiber-optical current transformers (FEFOCT) were installed on Irkutsk aluminium smelter (JSC IrkAZ) to measure direct current in aluminium pot rooms, transfer and save data.
IrkAZ is a subsidiary company of JSC “RusAL”, it is one of oldest aluminium smelters in East Siberia.
On 28th of August at CIGRE-2014 technical exhibition general manager of CJSC “Profotech” O.V. Rudakov and head of foreign trade department of “Intelligent systems NN” LLC D. F. Safonov exchanged the signed agreement about cooperation between two companies.
Under the agreement parties establish cooperation in joint research and development, further implementation of projects and function-compatible solutions, creation of intelligent power systems units for digitalized substations and smart grids according to international standards to apply comprehensively products, technical solutions and technologies of the companies.
On August Profotech joined Russian National Committee (RNC) of CIGRE (Russian: ÑÈÃÐÝ). The Council on Large Electric Systems (Conseil International des Grands Réseaux Électriques – CIGRE) was founded in 1921, it is the largest international non-government and non-profit association in electric power industry that unites scientists and energy experts from all over the world. CIGRE exerts a significant impact on the strategy of industry development in many countries.
Profotech and LISIS will demonstrate their cooperative total solution on the international exhibition and forum CIGRE-2014 in Paris
The solution proposed by Profotech and LISIS is designed for substation automation by “digitalized substation” technology.
The foundation of the solution proposed by both companies is the change of architecture of substation protection and control systems based on digital data processing. Protocol 61850 described in the “Digitalized Substation” technology, allows to get a unified data flow that provides information about condition of the operated facility (i.e. substation), thus it becomes possible to shift to a software platform that is installed on the universal hardware devices and has a free functions allocation.
At the end of July, general manager of CJSC Profotech O.V. Rudakov and general manager of LLC LISIS D.V. Kishinevskiy signed an agreement of intent to cooperate in development and following implementation of solutions for digitalized substations and active-adaptive power grids (smart grids).
JSC “Bratsk aluminium smelter” (BrAZ) is the largest aluminium producing facility not only in Russia but also in the world. It produces 30% of aluminium in Russia and near 4% of aluminium in the world. The plant is located on the skirts of Bratsk city, 60 km away from Bratsk hydroelectric station. The smelter was commissioned in 1966, now it is a subsidiary company of JSC “RusAL”.

Irkutsk aluminium smelter (IrkAZ) is located in Shelikhov city of Irkutsk Region, it’s one of the largest and oldest aluminium smelters in East Siberia and Russian Federation and a subsidiary company of JSC “RusAL”
