PROFOTECH in "Automation of production - 2013"

27 November 2013

Profotech took part in "Automation of production – 2013" Fourth Interindustrial Conference, which was held on November 26, 2013 in Moscow. The event was attended by the leading experts of the companies of oil and gas sector and energy, machine builders, enterprises of ferrous- and nonferrous-metal industry, vendors and developers of information technologies, IT, APCS, ERP and instrumentation. The Director for business development of Profotech, Leonid Borisovich Aleksandrov, made a report of "The Use of Fibre Optic Current Transformers for Measurement and Calibration of Current Transformers Integrated in Busbars" at the conference. The report was devoted to the up-to-date electronic current transformers where flexible fibre optic is used as a sensing element and which make possible a high accuracy of current measurement in the generator busbars with no change in the busbar design. The use of this technology also enables you to assess the accuracy of the integrated current transformers on the existing equipment, moreover, not only of the revenue metering cores, but also of the relay cores within the range of maximum multiplicity values. Unlike classical transformers, where based on the results of verification it is needed to take a decision on intervene in the circuit of main power equipment, in this case, you can easily estimate the economic effect of the use of technology and without any problem install a stationary version of this equipment for the purposes of revenue metering, telemetry and protection if necessary.
