Specialists of “Profotech” took part in the meeting of the 6th Council of Chief Engineers of the following enterprises: JSC “Amalgamated Metallurgic Company” and OJSC “Shchelkovo Metallurgic Plant”, which was held on 18-21 June in Shchelkovo city, Moscow region.
The General Director of JSC Oleg Vyacheslavovich Rudakov made a presentation about engineering solutions.
Fiber-optic open-loop current sensors developed by JSC “Profotech” are used in metallurgy as measuring sensors for technical process control systems, energy audit, and relay protection on the aluminum electrolysis units, arc furnaces.
The main advantages of such decision are a wide dynamic range of measured currents; considerably smaller excellent size and weight parameters; possibility to implement any geometry of fiber-optic loop (sensor), which does not demand an exact positioning in relation to the current distributor; presentation of initial data of the measured current in digital form; and a wide temperature range of the sensor (- 60 + 60 ‘C).
